Minnesota Hot Dish
Ingredients:
2 lbs hamburger or ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large bag of your favorite frozen vegetable
2-3 cans canned mushroom soup (depending on how thick your mixture is)
salt and pepper to taste
1 large can french fried onions
Preparation:
Brown meat and onion in small amount of oil; drain. Defrost vegetables, drain, and add to meat mixture. Add mushroom soup and seasoning and mix well. Pour into a 9"x13" pan and sprinkle entire can of french fried onions on top. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6 hungry Minnesotans. This basic recipe can be added to, ingredients substituted, and topping changed (deep fried tator tots, crushed potato chips) to suit your family.
