Cooking Cajun: Tomato and Okra Gumbo
Ingredients
2 pounds okra (baby okra), fresh or frozen
1 16-ounce can of tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
3 slices bacon
Instructions
Cut okra into 1/2-inch pieces and place in a medium Dutch oven with the tomatoes, salt, butter and bacon. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes.
